Sarada vidyalayam

Education is the initiation of the young into worthwhile ways of thinking and creating, thereby fostering each individual’s overall growth. Education is an indispensable tool that contributes immensely to the sustainable development of a community. Yet most of the rural children in Andhra Pradesh are deprived of basic education because their parents are unaware of educational opportunities and the potential in their children.

The encouraging results of informal education for non school going children, illiterate adults including housewives and make up classes for the school -going children in 1990 has prompted the Foundation to start s formal school, Sarada Vidyalayam on 14th July 1992.

Sarada Vidyalayam first opened its doors in 1992 to twenty-five Grade one children. Current achievements have resulted in the school accommodating 165 children and engaging 16 teaching and four non-teaching staff. Education is free and children receive complimentary lunches, milk, uniforms, shoes, books, schoolbags, transportation, medical check ups and medicines.

Every effort is made to develop their innate potential, boost their self-confidence, and induce them with drive to excel. Apart from academic curriculum much emphasis is also laid on activities like gardening, drawing, stitching, painting, Yoga, dance, drama and crafts. The students have exhibited their talents in inter-school meets and won prizes and accolades.

Affiliated to the State Board of Education, the school follows State recommended curriculum. Sustained efforts by teachers and other staff have resulted in a 100% success of results with distinction, securing its designation as a district model school.
Benefits go far beyond student achievements. The school exalts the value of education to the greater community and has brought forth a positive change in lifestyle among students and families.
